Women's healthcare in Gävleborg is located in Gävle and Hudiksvall. At the maternity/gynaecology department in Gävle, we are about 50 employees responsible for 18 care places for maternity and gynaecology.

We are now looking for you, whether you are a new or experienced midwife, with an interest in women's healthcare. Welcome with your application!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a midwife with us, you will collaborate with other professional groups and healthcare units within and outside women's healthcare, as well as supervise students, interns, and newly hired staff. We work in care teams consisting of midwives/nurses and nursing assistants. We operate around the clock and require weekend shifts.

As a midwife with us, you will among other things:

• perform patient-centered nursing work such as identifying nursing needs, prescribing, and prioritizing preventive measures
• ensure that patients receive the care, support, and information they need, with a focus on good communication.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a flexible and committed person who thrives in close collaboration with others in a varied everyday life. You are interested in development and improvement work, are confident in your professional role, and have the ability to meet people in a professional and empathetic manner.

In the role of midwife, you should:

• be a licensed midwife.

For this position, it is an advantage if you have experience working in a care unit.
